Translation Specialist, Communication Department, CARE International Indonesia Banda Aceh, The Tsunami Response Programme.
Responsibilities  :
o         Translating, from Indonesian to English and vice versa, various internal documents, ranging from internal memos, reports to legal documents.
o         Translating and editing external publication, articles written and/or prepared by staffs for publication and posters.
o         Translating and interpreting meetings among national and international staffs.
o         Interpreting meetings among international staffs and visitors with journalists and beneficiaries.
o         Updating news update summary for internal circulation, covering local and national daily newspapers.

Responsibilities  :
o         Conducting individual and small group classes  (1-3 students) for the staff of GTZ (German Technical Cooperation) from various projects and sites inside Banda Aceh.
o         Teaching Bahasa Indonesia for these groups in various levels, ranging from beginners up to advanced learners.
o         Designing and implementing tailored materials covering many different topics that address the learners’ levels, specific needs and field of profession/projects.

o         Teaching classes inside the school in Yogyakarta and also on sites upon request (serving in Banda Aceh under the contract with German Technical Cooperation).
o         Conducting individual and small group classes for foreigners learning Bahasa Indonesia in various levels, ranging from beginners up to advanced learners.
o         Teaching foreigners from various organizations, such as MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres – Doctors Without Borders) – Belgium, GTZ (German Technical Cooperation), ICRC (The International Committee of Red Cross), Nederland Red Cross, Jakarta International School, British International School, and other individuals and groups.
o         Designing and implementing tailored materials covering many different topics that address the learners’ specific needs and field of profession.
